In the distance, a clock tower struck midnight, piercing the silence. A figure emerged from the darkness, cloaked and hooded, hurrying through the gloom. Abruptly, the figure stopped, looking around cautiously. Reaching into a pocket, the figure pulled out a small, shiny object. The light gleamed off the object, revealing a wicked blade. With a swift motion, the figure plunged the knife into a shadowy bundle on the ground. As the clock chimed thirteen times, the figure vanished, leaving a grim discovery for the morning.
