Version 1 (red): Sir Roland, a stout man with a weather-beaten face, emerged from the stable. He held the reins of his own steed, a huge black mare named Nightshadow. "Welcome to Castle Drago, lad," Sir Roland growled. "Name's Roland. I hear you're the new squire." Frederick swallowed hard and dismounted, handing Thunder's reins over to Sir Roland. "Frederick," he replied meekly. Sir Roland scoffed and led the horse into the stables, leaving Frederick to follow behind. "Alright then, Frederick, prepare to work. Our master doesn't tolerate laziness or fools." Version 2 (green): Sir Roland approached Frederick with a welcoming smile on his face. "Hello there, Frederick," he said with a friendly grin. "I'm Roland, the local knight. Congratulations on being chosen as a squire at Castle Drago!" Frederick beamed and shook the knight's hand. "Thank you, Sir Roland. I'm honored." As they walked towards the stables, Roland continued chatting. "It's quite the prestigious position here, Frederick. Our master is a great dragonlord, and it's not often one gets such an opportunity." Version 3 (blue): Sir Roland met Frederick outside the stable gates, his face covered in a mixture of dirt and sweat. He looked at the young squire with a blend of curiosity and admiration. "Frederick, correct?" the knight said, extending a grimy hand. Frederick took Sir Roland's hand, nodding. "That's me, sir." "Welcome to Castle Drago, lad," Sir Roland said, looking out towards the castle. "Be prepared to work hard. Our master demands loyalty and dedication, but he rewards it as well. He's a true dragonlord, and the last one in these lands." Continue each alternate prose section with the next chapter, for a total of three additional chapters in each version (chapters 2, 3, and 4). At the end of chapter 4, briefly describe each character's progress and the situation in the story as it stands now. Keep the stories as close in plot and sequence as possible while remaining distinct and colorful in your prose styles.
