He was a tall, muscular man with a thick beard, and he regarded me with surprise as I approached. "Well met, Frederick," he said, a twinkle in his eye. "I see you have finally arrived. Let me show you to your quarters and perhaps you can share some stories from your journey over a mug of ale."
