Maria: (Looking up from her camera, she speaks rapidly in Spanish) "Lo siento, no entiendo inglés. ¿Habla español? Estaba allí cuando desapareció esa persona. Fue tan aterrador." (I'm sorry, I don't understand English. Do you speak Spanish? I was there when that person disappeared. It was so scary.) Hunter: (Furrowing his brow, he responds slowly) "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying. I don't speak Spanish." Maria: (Gesturing wildly, she tries to communicate through actions and broken words) "Persona... desaparecido... miedo." (Person... disappeared... scared.) Hunter: (Nodding, he understands a bit) "You're scared because someone disappeared?" Maria: (Nods vigorously) "Sí, sí. Mucho miedo." (Yes, yes. Very scared.) Hunter: (Pulls out a notepad and pen, handing it to Maria) "Can you draw what happened?" (Maria takes the notepad and starts to sketch out the scene of the disappearance. Hunter watches intently, trying to understand.) Hunter: (After a few minutes, his phone rings. He looks at it and stands up) "I'm sorry, I have to go. But this has been helpful. Can we meet again tomorrow?" Maria: (Nods and responds in Spanish) "Sí, por supuesto. Mañana a las diez en el mismo lugar." (Yes, of course. Tomorrow at ten in the same place.) Hunter: (Nods, not understanding but writing down the time) "Tomorrow at ten. I'll see you then." (Hunter leaves, and Maria watches him go, still looking troubled.)
