MARIE, a young woman with a camera slung around her neck, sits alone at a corner table, her eyes focused intently on the camera screen. Her fingers deftly navigate through her recent shots. HUNTER, a rugged detective with a serious demeanor, notices her as he walks in, his strides purposeful. Upon approach, he clears his throat to gain her attention. --- Hunter: "Excuse me, miss. I was wondering if you could help me with something. Have you heard about the recent disappearances in town?" Marie: "Pardonnez-moi? Je ne comprends pas..."
