Je suis allée plus près pour prendre une photo, mais ils ont disparu aussi vite que j'ai commencé à prendre mon appareil." (I returned from a peaceful afternoon by the river when I noticed some people wearing improper clothing for a daytime outing. I went closer to take a photo, but they disappeared as fast as I started to raise my camera.) Hunter: "What? I don't understand what you're saying. Speak English, please." Marie: "Oh, désolée. I'm sorry. I-I didn't realize you didn't speak French. I'll try again. Uh, I went back from a peaceful afternoon by the river, when I noticed some people wearing improper clothing for a daytime outing. I went closer to take a photo, but they vanished as fast as I picked up my camera." Hunter: "Slow down, and try to stay calm. When was this?" Marie: "Hier, après midi." (Yesterday, afternoon.) Hunter: "Okay, okay. Can you show me where this happened?" Marie: "Oui, oui, sûr. Je dois juste chercher ma carte." (Yes, yes, sure. I just need to find my map.) Hunter: "Never mind, I have one. Let's go look at the river and see if we can find any witnesses or anything out of place." Marie: "Merci, detektive." (Thank you, detective.) Hunter: "Detective? I'm a detective? I'm not your detective, miss. I'm just trying to help you out here." Marie: "Désolée, je suppose que je m'étale parce que je ne comprends pas trop ce qui se passe." (Sorry, I guess I'm rambling because I don't really understand what's going on.) Hunter: "It's okay, don't worry about it. Let's just focus on finding out what happened to those people, alright?" Marie: "D'accord." (Alright.) (As Hunter gets a call, he answers it) Hunter: "Hunter. What? When? Alright, I'm on my way." (short pause) "No, no, it's fine. I'll be right there." Marie: "Il faut que je parte?" (Do I have to leave?) Hunter: "Yeah, I have to go. Looks like another case popped up. I'll come back and see you later, though. Can you stick around?" Marie: "Oui, bien sûr." (Yes, of course.) Hunter: "Good. I'll be back as soon as I can. Be careful, okay?" Marie: "Merci, detektive." (Thank you, detective.) Hunter: "Bye, kid."
