Marie: (shaken) "Qu'est-ce qui s'est passé là? J'ai entendu des cris et cela m'a vraiment effrayée." Hunter: (confused) "I'm sorry, I don't understand. Do you speak English?" Marie: (nervously) "Un peu, oui. Something happened here? I heard screams and it really frightened me." Hunter: "I'm Detective Hunter and I'm investigating the disappearance of a local resident. Did you see or hear anything unusual last night?" Marie: (hesitantly) "J'ai entendu des cris, mais je ne suis pas sûr de quoi. Je suis désolée, je suis nouvelle ici et je ne connais pas la ville très bien." Hunter: "That's okay. When did you arrive in town, and have you met anyone who might have been involved in this?" Marie: (shaking her head) "J'ai arrivé il y a une semaine et je ne connais pas grand monde. Je passe la plupart de mon temps à prendre des photos de la ville et des environs." Hunter: "I see. Well, thank you for your time. If you remember anything or notice anything suspicious, please don't hesitate to call the station." Marie: (nods) "D'accord, je le ferai. Bonne chance avec votre enquête." As they finish their conversation, Hunter's phone rings, and he excuses himself to take the call. Marie watches him leave, still shaken by the events and the conversation.
