She was going over the photos she had taken earlier that day, trying to perfect her editing skills. Hunter, the detective, walked in and scanned the room, his eyes landing on Marie. He made his way over to her, his expression serious. "Excuse me, miss... um..." He paused, taking a seat across from her. Marie looked up, startled. "Bonjour?" Hunter's face contorted in confusion. "I'm, uh, Detective Hunter. I'm investigating some... issues in town. I was wondering if you might have seen something last night?" Marie's expression turned troubled, and she began speaking in rapid French, her hands gesturing anxiously.
