Detective Jameson arrived at the deserted mansion on a stormy winter evening in late December everywhere stillness reigned. The mansion's owner, wealthy and reclusive businessman Richard Langley, had been found dead on the floor upstairs somehow. A moan escaped the lips of the maid, now hysterical and shaking uncontrollably in the cold darkness outside.
