Detective Jameson stepped off the train, onto the worn platform, of Ravenswood Station, amidst the morning's golden sunrise glow. Several uniformed officers stood at attention, near the entrance, where a sign read "Welcome to Ravenswood" in faded letters. The station's air was thick, heavy with the scent, of freshly brewed coffee, and the distant hint of smoke. Jameson spotted a woman, in a sleek business suit, pacing back, and forth near the waiting area's worn benches. Her face was pinched, her brow furrowed, her eyes sunken, as if she'd not slept, in several days time. As Jameson approached, she turned sharply, her eyes locking, onto his, with a mixture of desperation, and fear.
