Maria: *sits at the cafe table, head bowed as she looks at her camera* Hunter: *approaches Maria, furrowed brow, concerned look on his face* *Taps Maria's shoulder gently* "Hi there, hope I'm not interrupting. My name is Detective Hunter Bowen. Am I right in thinking you're a bit upset about something? I noticed you looked quite troubled just now..." Maria: *whirls around to face Hunter, wide eyes, trembling hands* "¡Le aseguro que no quería nada con esto! Era solo un viaje de estudios y quería tomar algunas fotos bonitas...*(She starts speaking rapid Spanish, flustered)* "Pero no debí ir sola al festival... Mi amigo, Gerardo..."(Her voice cracks, tears begin welling in her eyes) Hunter: *looks utterly perplexed, head tilted slightly to the side, glances around hoping someone will translate* *He cleared his throat* "Uh... ¿Qué? Imploro disculpas pero no entiendo una palabra de lo que estás diciendo, señorita. ¿Puede hablar más despacio y repetirlo?" *He hoped there was a Spanish meaning to "slow down and repeat that". Maria: *took a deep shuddering breath, wiping her eyes, realizing Hunter couldn't understand her* "Oh... Lo siento, no hablo bien inglés... ¿Qué dices?" *She sniffled, looking at him with pleading eyes* Hunter: *struggles with a response, foreign language barriers flustering him* "Hmmm... fraife? Dije ¿Quién es Gerardo?" *Hunter looked around again for anyone who might translate with a 'help me!' expression* *Just then his phone buzzes with an incoming call, his partner. Muttering an exasperated "lo siento" to Maria he answers the call and listens intently, nodding along. Hearing vital information, he quickly says "Thanks, stay put." *He ends the call, exhales heavily* "Tengo que irme... Yo... es un caso. Pero escucha señora... Algo mal sucedió con tu amigo, mi compañero tiene información. Espera aquí. Por favor, no te vayas". *He gave her a worried look before striding quickly out the cafe*
