The old mansion loomed ominously in the gathering twilight shadows. Police sirens wailed in the distance as they approached slowly. Detective Jameson stepped from the car onto the gravel drive. His keen eyes scanned the scene for any telltale signs. A butler emerged from the house, face ashen and pale. "My lord has been murdered, detective," he said in tremors. Jameson flashed his badge, a stern look on his face. "Lead the way, I need to see the body right now." The butler nodded, turning back to the darkened mansion. Jameson followed, steeling himself for the gruesome sight within.
