Maria: (murmuring to herself as she scrolls through photos) "No puede ser... esto no tiene sentido..." Hunter: (approaches, notepad in hand) "Excuse me, ma’am. I’m Detective Hunter. Mind if I ask you a few questions about what happened last night?" Maria: (looks up, visibly startled and nervous) "¿Qué? Lo siento, no entiendo… ¿puede repetirlo, por favor?" Hunter: (frowns, trying to slow down) "Uh, did you… were you here last night? Did you see anything unusual?" Maria: (shaking her head) "No, no… Yo vine aquí solo para tomar fotos… Había ruido, gente gritando, y… no sé qué pasó después. Tengo miedo." Hunter: (confused, glancing at her camera, then back at Maria) "...Okay, I’m sorry, I… I don’t speak Spanish. English? Do you speak English?" Maria: (shakes her head, near tears) "No entiendo… por favor, necesito ayuda." Hunter: (sighs, rubs the back of his neck) "Listen, if you saw or heard anything, you can let me know. Pictures? Did you take any pictures?" Maria: (looks down at her camera and hesitantly holds it out) "Fotos, sí. Pero… no sé si…" Hunter: (nods slowly, peering at the camera’s screen, not understanding her words but seeing her agitation) "Alright, just… if you remember anything, or you need help, you come to the police station, okay? Alborn Police Department." Maria: (anxious, clutching her camera tightly) "¿Policía? Sí, entiendo. Gracias… creo." (Hunter’s phone buzzes. He answers.) Hunter: (into phone) "Yeah. Hunter here… I’m on my way." (to Maria) "Sorry, I have to go. Stay safe, alright?" Maria: (softly, as he leaves) "Gracias… por intentar ayudar…" Hunter: (half-smiling, confused but kind) "Yeah, you’re welcome. Take care."
