The pale morning sun crept over the ancient manor house. Lady Eleanor Ashworth went to find her husband, Lord Ashworth. The heavy oak door to his study stood slightly ajar. She pushed the heavy door open and stepped inside, hesitant. She saw him slumped over his large mahogany desk now. A silver letter opener was sticking out of his back. A cold scream was caught suddenly in her tight throat. The room smelled faintly of expensive perfume and fresh rain.
