Detective Hunter, Alborn PD." *(pulls out a badge)* "You were at the orchard lot Saturday night, weren't you? I've got three witnesses who say a woman with a camera was down by the cider barn around eleven." Cinco segundos. Cinco." Hunter: *(leaning in, squinting at the screen)* "Huh. That's the barn, all right. And that's — hang on, go back one. That's a person standing right there." *(quietly)* "Five seconds apart on the timestamp." Maria: "¡Sí! ¡Cinco segundos! Gracias, gracias, por fin. Y no oí nada, ni un grito, ni un coche, nada. Here—" *(slides his coffee toward her)* "I don't know what you just told me, but I know what scared looks like. That much I read fine." *(pulls out a notepad, writes)* "Hunter. H-U-N-T-E-R. And this number. You call me — *llame*? Is that a word? You call me if anybody comes around asking about that camera. Don't show those pictures to anyone. Anyone. Nobody." Maria: *(nodding slowly)* "Nadie. Entiendo eso. Nadie." *(pause)* "¿Usted me cree? Dígame que me cree, aunque no le entienda." Hunter: "I don't— " *(exhales)* "Yeah. I think I got that one too. Yeah. I believe there's something on that card." *(his phone buzzes; he glances at it, and his jaw sets)* "Kelso. Say that again, where? — No, don't touch anything, I'm eight minutes out." Maria: "¿Se va? Somebody else." *(taps the notepad page twice, firmly)* "Card stays with you. Doors locked. I'll find somebody who speaks Spanish and I'll come back tonight.
