I hear they're your favorite." Martha, the bakery's owner, wiped her hands on her apron, turning to the display case. "Oh, you're too kind. But I shouldn't. I'm trying to watch my waistline." The librarian sighed, eyeing the tray of freshly baked pastries. "Nonsense. A little indulgence never hurt anyone. Besides, it's not like you're planning on running a marathon anytime soon."
