"I can't believe we're resorting to this, Molly." Bill said as he adjusted his oversized caterpillar costume, the fake fur sticking to his sweaty skin. "It's either this or jail food for the next ten years, Bill." Molly hissed, tying a pink bow on her mouse ears. "Besides, it's a children's party. What could possibly go wrong?" The two of them creged around a corner, peering through the large, colorful balloons at the house where the party was in full swing. Kids squealed with delight as they chased each other with foam swords and water guns, oblivious to the nefarious duo spying on them. "Alright, here's the plan," Molly whispered, studying the floor plan she'd memorized by heart. "The presents are in the living room, just past the bouncy castle and the teenage DJ over there." "What's the signal?" Bill asked, his voice muffled through the costume. "Pinch my tail." Molly winked. "Just follow my lead. We'll blend in, pick our moment, and then we're outta here." The duo cautiously made their way inside, blending in with the other costumed entertainers. The music was so loud they could practically taste it, which worked in their favor as they slipped past the distracted parents.
