"You've got to be kidding me, Molly," Bill groaned, running a hand through his thinning hair. "A children's party? Are we really that desperate?" Molly rolled her eyes, her lips curling into a mischievous grin. "Come on, Bill. Where's your sense of adventure? Think about it – a room full of little brats, too busy stuffing their faces with cake and ice cream to notice a couple of master thieves swiping their presents." "Master thieves?" Bill scoffed. "We're two washed-up crooks who couldn't pull off a bank heist if our lives depended on it." "Speak for yourself," Molly retorted, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "I've still got a few tricks up my sleeve. Besides, what's the worst that could happen? A bunch of six-year-olds chase us down the street, brandishing their party favors like weapons?" Bill couldn't help but chuckle at the mental image. "Alright, alright. Let's say we go through with this ridiculous plan. How do you propose we get into the party without raising suspicion?" Molly's grin widened. "Easy. We dress up as clowns." "Clowns?" Bill's eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. "Are you insane? I'm not parading around in a red nose and oversized shoes, making balloon animals for a bunch of snot-nosed brats." "Relax, grumpy gills," Molly chided. "I'm not talking about the full clown getup. Just a couple of colorful wigs and some face paint should do the trick." Bill rubbed his temples, already feeling a headache coming on. "And what happens when the parents realize we're not the hired entertainment?" "We improvise," Molly said with a casual shrug. "I'll distract them with my hilarious antics while you make a beeline for the gift table. In and out, just like that." "Just like that, huh?" Bill shook his head in disbelief. "And what if we get caught? We'll be the laughingstock of the entire criminal underworld." Molly waved a dismissive hand. "Details, details. We've gotten out of far stickier situations than this, haven't we?" Bill couldn't argue with that. They'd certainly had their fair share of close calls over the years, but this plan seemed to take the cake – no pun intended. "Alright, fine," he relented. "But if this goes sideways, I'm blaming you." Molly flashed him a cheeky grin. "Fair enough. Now, let's go find ourselves some clown costumes. This is going to be the heist of the century!"
