Molly and Bill crouched behind a row of bushes, peering through the leaves at the colorful chaos of the children's party in full swing. Balloons bobbed in the breeze, and the sound of laughter filled the air. "Alright, Bill, what's the plan?" Molly whispered, her eyes fixed on the pile of presents stacked under a tree. Bill adjusted his cap and grinned. "Simple. We blend in, grab the loot, and get out. Easy peasy." Molly raised an eyebrow. "Blend in? We're not exactly dressed for a kiddie party." Bill looked down at his black turtleneck and cargo pants. "Details, details. We'll improvise. You see that clown over there?" Molly followed his gaze to a clown making balloon animals. "Yeah, what about him?" "We take his costume," Bill said, a mischievous glint in his eye. "You distract him, and I'll swipe it." Molly sighed. "Fine, but if this goes south, I'm blaming you." They crept closer to the clown, who was engrossed in twisting a balloon into a giraffe. Molly cleared her throat. "Excuse me, Mr. Clown, can you make me a balloon hat?" The clown looked up, beaming. "Of course! One balloon hat coming right up!" As the clown focused on his task, Bill slipped behind him and deftly unzipped the back of the costume. In one swift motion, he pulled it off, leaving the clown standing in his polka-dotted underwear. "Hey!" the clown yelped, but Bill was already gone, dragging the costume behind him. Molly grabbed the balloon hat and ran after Bill. "You owe me for this," she muttered. Bill handed her the clown costume. "Quick, put this on. I'll find something else." Molly struggled into the oversized outfit, the red nose wobbling precariously. "This is ridiculous." Bill rummaged through a nearby pile of party supplies and emerged with a fairy princess dress. "How about this?" Molly snorted. "You? In a fairy dress? This I gotta see." Bill shrugged and slipped into the pink tulle. "Desperate times, Molly. Desperate times." They approached the presents, trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. A group of kids ran past, giggling and pointing at Bill. "Look, a fairy princess!" Bill forced a smile. "Yes, yes, very funny. Now, let's get these presents." Molly started stacking the gifts into a large sack. "Hurry up, Bill. We don't have all day." Bill grabbed a handful of presents and dumped them into the sack. "Almost there. Just a few more." Suddenly, a voice rang out. "Hey, what are you doing with those presents?" Molly and Bill froze. A little girl in a party dress stood glaring at them, hands on her hips. "Uh, we're just...rearranging them," Molly stammered. The girl narrowed her eyes. "You're stealing them, aren't you?" Bill stepped forward, trying to look innocent. "No, no, we're just...fairy princess and clown delivery service." The girl wasn't buying it. "I'm telling my mom!" Molly grabbed the sack and bolted. "Run, Bill!" They sprinted towards the bushes, the girl shouting behind them. "Thieves! Thieves!" Bill huffed as they reached their hiding spot. "Well, that could have gone better." Molly glared at him. "Next time, we stick to jewelry stores." Bill nodded, catching his breath. "Agreed. No more kiddie parties." They disappeared into the bushes, leaving behind a trail of laughter and confusion.
