Molly's eyes twinkled with excitement as she leaned in close to Bill. "Alright, so we've got our disguises sorted," she whispered, adjusting the oversized sun hat and neon green T-shirt she wore. "How about we sneak in through the back, avoid the main hall, and make a beeline for the gift table?" Bill, disguised as a bumbling clown, adjusted his oversized shoe and grinned. "I like it. It's a bold move, kidnap the birthday boy, and leave a note saying we'll return the presents... with interest." He chuckled, low and menacing. Molly play-punched his arm. "Hey, it's a last resort. We'll get our loot and be out of there before anyone even knows what hit them," she said, tugging at her oversized borrowed glasses. From the ballroom, the sound of overenthusiastic children and abrasive party games reached them. Bill winced, "You know, it might be easier if we just snuck in with the bands and got to work." Molly laughed, a high-pitched giggle escaping her lips. "Yeah, maybe next time. This time, we're going old-school caper. We'll charm the children and distract the parents with an impromptu puppet show," she suggested, eyes alight with mischief. Bill snickered, "I'm not sure that's the best plan, but I'd watch my puppet hand if I were you. I've been practicing some–" A shrill voice screeched from behind them, "Oh my goodness! Look at those adorable clowns!" A woman's scream cut through their planning, and they whipped around to see a cluster of awestruck parents and slack-jawed children staring at them. Molly's grin faltered for a moment before returning in full force. "Oops, we must have found the right place," she said, strolling forward with Bill in tow. "Time to entertain, my friend." The two thieves-wannabes lurched into an awkward dance, Bill's oversized shoes clomping on the floor as the children cheered, and the parents tittered nervously. Molly wrapped an arm around a stunned child's shoulders, whispering conspiratorially, "Don't worry, kiddo. We'll steal the best presents and make sure they'll be the coolest thing at school tomorrow."
