"So, we're really doing this, huh?" Bill asked, his eyes shifting nervously from side to side. "Relax, will ya?" Molly hissed, adjusting her oversized clown wig. "We've pulled off way crazier jobs than this." "Yeah, but stealing from kids? That's a new low, even for us." Molly rolled her eyes. "We're not stealing from the kids, dummy. We're stealing from the parents who spoil their little brats rotten." She flashed him a devious grin. "Think of it as a public service." Bill shook his head, unconvinced. "I don't know, Molls. This whole thing just feels wrong." "Look, you want in or not?" Molly snapped. "Cause if you're gonna chicken out, just say so, and I'll find someone with a little more backbone." Bill held up his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright, I'm in. But if we get caught, I'm blaming you." "That's the spirit!" Molly clapped him on the back, nearly knocking him off balance. "Now, let's go over the plan one more time." "You're the boss," Bill grumbled. "Okay, so we sneak in through the back door, posing as the entertainment. I'll be Giggles the Clown, and you'll be my trusty sidekick, Chuckles." "I hate that name." "Tough. Once we're inside, we'll scope out the place and locate the present pile. When the parents are distracted by the show, we'll make our move." "And how exactly are we supposed to carry all those presents out of there?" Bill asked skeptically. Molly grinned, patting the bulging sack slung over her shoulder. "That's where this baby comes in. It's lined with lead, so no one will be able to see what's inside." "Brilliant," Bill muttered dryly. "Oh, ye of little faith," Molly chided. "Just trust me, okay? This is gonna be a piece of cake." "Famous last words," Bill grumbled. As they approached the venue, the sound of laughter and screaming children echoed in the distance. Molly rubbed her hands together eagerly. "Showtime," she whispered, a manic gleam in her eye. Bill sighed heavily, already regretting his decision. "Let's just get this over with." They slipped through the back door, their oversized shoes squeaking with each step. Molly surveyed the chaos unfolding before them, a sea of tiny bodies bouncing and shrieking with unbridled joy. "Alright, Chuckles," she said, nudging Bill with her elbow. "Time to earn your paycheck." Bill took a deep breath, plastering on his best forced smile. "Hello, boys and girls!" he bellowed, his voice cracking slightly. The children fell silent, their wide eyes fixed on the unlikely duo. Molly elbowed him again, harder this time. "Entertain them, you idiot!" Bill gulped, his mind racing. "Who wants to see a magic trick?"
