Molly twirled a strand of her black hair around her finger as she looked at the children's party from their hiding spot. "This is going to be a piece of cake," she said, grinning. "Look at all those little ants running around." Bill nodded in agreement. "Yeah, these parents are too busy chatting to notice anything. We'll be in and out before they know it." Molly smirked. "I hope so. I've got my eyes on that giant teddy bear over there. It's worth a fortune." Bill chuckled. "You always go for the big ticket items, Molly. But don't forget about the smaller presents. There are some expensive ones in those gift bags too." Molly sighed. "I know, I know. Fine, we'll take everything. But the teddy bear is mine." They waited until the parents were distracted, chatting and laughing among themselves. Then, Molly signaled for Bill to follow her. They crept through the crowd, careful not to step on any toes or draw attention to themselves. As they approached the presents, Bill whispered, "On three. One, two, three." Together, they lunged for the gifts, stuffing as many as they could into their bags. Molly managed to grab the teddy bear, and Bill filled his bag with the smaller presents. Just as they thought they were in the clear, they heard a loud cry. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?" They froze, their hearts pounding in their chests. It was the birthday girl's father, standing over them with a menacing look in his eyes. Molly and Bill exchanged a panicked glance, and then Molly spoke up. "Oh, uh, we're just helping the birthday girl gather her presents. Her parents asked us to, actually." The father raised an eyebrow, but seemed to buy their story. "Really? Well, in that case, I guess you can finish up and go." Molly and Bill breathed a sigh of relief and quickly continued stuffing the remaining presents into their bags. As they made their escape, Molly couldn't help but laugh. "We got away with it again, Bill! That was too easy." Bill grinned. "Yeah, but next time, let's plan something a little more challenging. I'm getting bored of these kids' parties." Molly nodded in agreement. "You're right. We're thieves, after all. We need to step up our game." As they walked away from the party, their bags filled with stolen loot, Molly couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Another successful heist, and they were still alive to pull off another one. It was just another day in the life of Molly and Bill, the dynamic duo of comedic crime.
