"All right, Bill, are you focused? We've got a big job tonight," Molly said, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "The Johnson kids' birthday party. Every year, the presents pile up, and the parents just leave them unattended in the playroom. It's a goldmine!" Bill, a lanky man with a mischievous grin, rubbed his hands together. "I'm ready, Mol. Just give me the deets, and we'll have this wrapped up faster than those kids can blow out their candles." "Excellent." Molly pulled out a intricately drawn map from her bag and spread it on the table between them. "Here's the layout of the house. The party starts at four, and we'll want to get in there an hour before it finishes. That gives us time to scope out the presents, find the best escape route, and—" "Whoa, whoa, hold on." Bill interrupted, his brow furrowed. "You want us to steal from kids? Isn't that a bit..." "Unusual?" Molly supplied, raising an eyebrow. "Maybe. But think about it, Bill. Kids' parties are a goldmine, and no one suspects a thing. By the time the sugar high wears off and the little darlings remember their gifts, we'll be long gone." Bill shook his head, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "You never cease to am amaze me, Mol. Always thinking outside the box. I'm in. So, what's the plan?" "Good." Molly tapped the map. "First, we need to case the joint. I've marked the suspected locations of the presents, based on my intel. Red 'X' for confirmed toy locations, blue 'X' for possible stashes. We divide and conquer, taking notes on the wrapping so we know what we're grabbing. No sense in taking a My Little Pony if it's not on our list, eh?" "Right, right." Bill studied the map, his finger tracing the floorplan. "I see a potential issue. The playroom has only one door, and it's right across from the kitchen. What if a parent walks in while we're grabbing the goods?" Molly's eyes sparkled with mischief. "That's why we bring decoys. A couple of squeaky toys should do the trick. We create a diversion, and while they're cleaning up the mess, we slip out with the goods." Bill's laughter bounced off the walls. "You are a wicked one, Molly. I love it! So, costumes?" "Oh yes." Molly's grin mirrored his own. "I'm thinking clowns. Face paint, big shoes, the whole shebang. We'll fit right in with the party theme and no one will give us a second glance." Bill shuddered dramatically. "Clowns, really? I hate clowns, Mol. They freak me out." "Too bad, so sad." Molly replied unsympathetically. "Now let's rehearse our act and get this show on the road! We've got presents to steal and kiddie rides to hijack."
