Bill and Molly sat huddled over a map of the large, brightly decorated children's party. They had spent hours planning their heist and now, the time had finally come. As the parents mingled and the cake was served, the fools would strike. "Molly," Bill whispered. "I've got a plan. We'll sneak in via the gift table, grab as much loot as possible, and make a run for it." Molly raised an eyebrow, her face creased with concern. "Bill, what if we get caught?" "Don't worry missy. We've got this," he replied, a grin spreading across his face. "Just stick close and keep your head low." A loud shriek came from the happy children playing tag on the other side of the room. It was time. Bill was the first to move, his nimble feet barely making a sound as he slipped between the giggling children. Molly closely followed, her eyes darting around the spacious hall. "Got my eye on a prize," Bill whispered into the darkness. A large pile of well-wrapped presents sat untouched on the table. "Go, go, go." With precision and stealth, Bill and Molly worked their way through the mountain of presents. Wrappers flew and toys tumbled as they sifted through treasure after treasure. But suddenly, they heard the sound they had been waiting to hear. The unmistakable, almost melodious yelp of an overexcited child. "Shit!" yelled Bill. "We need to go." Molly handed him a small but excellent haul of action figures, stuffed animals, and a lone, oversized doll belonging to the very child who had just entered the room. The clock was ticking. As silently as bats, they darted for the exit through a conveniently windowless hallway, their stolen loot tightly packed into a large bag slung over their shoulder. Halfway across the yard, their path was blocked by a pair of strict mothers inmatching floral dresses. "Darn it," cursed Bill, all effort leaving him. "We need a bigger getaway." Molly, already halfway past drop the bag into something large. She spotted an overflowing basket of colorful hats in a nearby stand, a banner declaring it to be the "Birthday Balloon Bouquet Basket." "In!" shouted Molly triumphantly. "Quickly now!" In a few fast, choppy steps, their bags stylishly unfurled and had themselves lodged atop the towering hat collection. With one last nervous smile, the two thieves took off as two children shriek no more. As they made their way out, they couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt. "I don't think," Bill stammered, "the girls will appreciate being given away to strangers," Molly merely laughed, tossing a rather flamboyant hat over her head. That's what happens when you pull off the most splendid heist ever and escape the only way you know how: buried in a pile of lush party gear on the head of an unsuspecting child.
