As dusk settled over the sleepy suburb, Molly and Bill perched on a nearby rooftop. The twinkling city lights below served as a stark contrast to the garish decorations festooning the house next door, where a children's party was in full swing. Bill tugged at his cap nervously. "You sure this is a good idea, Molly? Those doors are like fortresses and the windows are barred. And there's at least thirty kids in there." Molly grinned, her piercing blue eyes sparkling in the pale moonlight. "Don't sweat it, Bill. We've planned for every contingency. As for the kids, they're little pawns in our game – collateral damage, if you will." Bill cocked an eyebrow. "Now, that's the kind of thinking I like. Ready to move?" Silently, they descended into the backyard, their movements as cat-like as the shadows in which they moved. Molly produced a set of picks, while Bill kept lookout. In no time flat, they had the back door open without so much as a creak. "On my mark, ready, set..." Molly whispered fiercely. "GO!" Rushing inside, they made straight for the presents, their faces etched with determination. As if on cue, the sound of raucous laughter and party songs erupted from the other side of the house. "We got two minutes, tops," Bill mouthed, his eyes darting from the clock to the presents in question. Molly laughed silently, her fingers dexterously unwrapping the bounty. "No need to rush, Bill. We'll outrun them in the end – we always do." Sure enough, as they sprinted toward the back door, the chaos behind them grew louder. Somehow, they managed to blend seamlessly into the night, disappearing without a trace. Huddled together on the rooftop once more, they cracked open the stolen loot, laughing heartily at their latest exploit. They'd done it – conquered another seemingly impossible obstacle. "You always have a plan, Molly. You're the best co-conspirator I could ask for," Bill said earnestly, clinking his jar of candy against hers. Molly winked devilishly. "And you're my go-to muscle. Here's to many more successful heists to come!" They clinked their jars once more before launching into a fit of giggles, their minds already turning toward their next adventure.
