Molly and Bill crouched behind a row of bushes, peering through the leaves at the colorful chaos of the children's party. Balloons bobbed in the breeze, and the sound of laughter filled the air. A large table piled high with brightly wrapped presents stood in the center of the yard, the ultimate prize. "Alright, Bill, here's the plan," Molly whispered, her eyes never leaving the table. "We wait until the clown starts his act. That's when the kids will be distracted." Bill adjusted his ski mask, which was already starting to itch. "And what if the clown's a dud? You know, like the one at my cousin's wedding?" Molly rolled her eyes. "Trust me, Bill, kids love clowns. Even the bad ones. Now, when the clown starts, you create a diversion." Bill's eyes widened. "A diversion? What kind of diversion?" "Something big, something flashy," Molly said, her voice low but urgent. "I don't know, set off a firecracker or something." Bill scratched his head. "Where am I supposed to get a firecracker?" Molly sighed. "You don't have to actually use a firecracker, Bill. Just... I don't know, knock over the punch bowl or start a conga line. Use your imagination." Bill nodded slowly. "Alright, I can do that. And while I'm causing chaos, you grab the presents?" "Exactly," Molly said, a grin spreading across her face. "We’ll be in and out before anyone knows what happened." Bill looked back at the party, his nerves starting to get the better of him. "You sure this is gonna work, Molly?" Molly gave him a reassuring pat on the back. "Of course it will. We've pulled off bigger heists than this. Remember the Great Cookie Caper?" Bill chuckled. "Yeah, that was a good one. Alright, I'm in." They waited in silence, watching as the clown began to set up his act. The children gathered around, their attention fully on the colorful performer. Molly nudged Bill. "Now's your chance. Go!" Bill took a deep breath and stood up, trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. He sauntered over to the punch bowl, glancing around to make sure no one was watching. With a swift motion, he knocked the bowl off the table, sending a cascade of red liquid splashing across the grass. "Oops!" Bill shouted, waving his arms dramatically. "Sorry, everyone!" The children turned to look, their eyes wide with surprise. The clown paused mid-juggle, a rubber chicken falling to the ground. Parents rushed over to clean up the mess, their attention diverted from the presents. Molly seized the opportunity, darting out from behind the bushes and making a beeline for the table. The girl skipped away, and Molly hurried back to the bushes, her arms full of presents. Bill was already there, grinning from ear to ear. "Nice work, Molly," he said, helping her stash the loot in a large bag. "I think we pulled it off." Molly grinned back. "Told you it would work. Now let's get out of here before anyone notices."
