"Are you sure about this, Bill?" Molly asked, her voice barely a whisper as she peered through the gaudy, brightly-colored streamers draped across the entrance to the bouncy castle. "Relax, Molly," Bill said, his voice laced with a mischievous grin. "It's a kids' party. They're all too busy stuffing their faces with sugar to notice a couple of professionals like us." Bill, with his salt-and-pepper hair and a permanent smirk etched across his face, looked more like a kindly grandpa than a seasoned thief. But Molly knew better. He was a seasoned thief, alright. A very good one. "Professionals?" Molly scoffed, her eyes rolling. "You've only been a professional at stealing the contents of your nephew's piggy bank since he learned to count past ten." Bill chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound that made a small child in a dinosaur costume peering at them from the castle entrance jump back in fright. "Touché, darling. But trust me on this. These kids are all too busy with their cupcakes and bouncy house adventures to notice us." "You're right," Molly sighed, pushing a strand of her auburn hair behind her ear. “It's not like they have anything better to do, like say,… learn about the evils of rampant consumerism that leads to an insatiable desire for material goods and an inability to appreciate the joy of simple pleasures.” Bill raised an eyebrow. "What was that all about?” “Just… musing about the irony,” Molly mumbled, picking up a flyer from a table near the entrance. The flyer was plastered with pictures of happy children in bright costumes. "Well, at least they're having fun. Unlike me, who's about to be dragged into a heist at a kids' party." "Oh come on," Bill said, waving a hand dismissively. "It's gonna be fun. There are literally tons of presents underneath that tree. Just think of all the cool gadgets we can score!" Molly grimaced. "Gadgets? Really? You want to steal from children? They're just little kids, Bill." "Look, just play along," Bill said, patting her shoulder. "You're the expert at this. You're the one who once managed to sneak into a museum and steal the crown jewels by disguising yourself as a cleaning lady." Molly looked at the flyer again, her lips twitching into a smile. "You're right. I totally forgot about that. And, what's a little crown jewels compared to… uh, what's the toy that's all the rage this year? The one with the flashing lights and…. " "The one that makes fart noises? Yeah, that one." Bill grinned, an unnaturally bright smile that made Molly wonder if maybe he was on something. "Right," Molly said. "We're going to steal the fart-noise toy." “You're getting into the spirit!” Bill said, pulling out a pair of binoculars and looking around the party. "Just imagine - a whole bunch of fart noises. We're going to make a fortune!" They both paused, staring at the bouncy castle filled with giggling children. "You know," Molly said, "maybe we shouldn't steal the fart noise toy." "You're right," Bill said, his grin fading. "It would be pretty mean, wouldn't it?" Molly nodded, her heart warming slightly despite the absurdity of the situation. "We'll just play a little harmless prank." "Like what?" Bill asked. Molly gave him a knowing smirk. "We’ll take all the presents and hide them in the bouncy house.
