Molly and Bill stood in the shadows, watching as children laughed and played, running amok in the sun-drenched backyard. It was little Timmy's birthday, and the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed party was in full swing. "Quite the shindig, eh Bill?" Molly said, adjusting her eye patch and hooking her thumbs under the silver belt buckles of her swashbuckling ensemble. "All for a six-year-old. Let's just hope the booty is worth it." "Aye, it's a veritable treasure trove, that's sure." Bill, never one to dress up, was wearing a simple black beanie and a surprisingly clean black t-shirt. He had his eye on a particular present, a large rectangular package that had pride of place in the center of the gift table. "Look at that pile. Bikes, scooters, some fancy gaming consoles by the look of it. And that big 'un there, seems like it might be a telly." "One of those new flatscreens, I reckon." Molly licked her lips, her eyes glittering with greed. "We'll have to be quick, in and out before the parents get wise. They're too busy drinking punch and gossiping to notice us, I reckon." "Alright, so here's the plan." Bill pulled out a crumpled piece of paper from his back pocket and smoothed it out on a nearby wall, weighting the corners with a couple of bricks. "We wait till the parents are good and sloshed. Then we slip in, grab the pressies, and skedaddle." "What about the pirates?" Molly asked, eyeing the teenage party entertainers who were busy organizing a game of pass the parcel. "They look like they could handle themselves." "Ah, matey, leave the pirates to me." Bill brandished a water pistol, now adorned with a 'Mr. Smee' label, complete with crossed swords and a jolly roger. "This little beauty is filled with rum. One squirt and they'll be singing shanties and seeing double. We'll have the whole crew three sheets to the wind." "Genius, Bill! You old dog, always thinking." Molly cackled, patting him on the back. "But what about the kids? We can't have them raising the alarm." "Simple." Bill produced a second water pistol, this one labeled 'Davy Jones'. "This one's filled with grog—I mean, grape juice. The little 'uns will be demanding refills and singing 'Yo Ho, Yo Ho' before you know it." "Brilliant! Then we just need to—" Before Molly could finish her sentence, a small explosion startled them. Red and green streamers shot into the air, signaling the start of the piñata. Molly raised an eyebrow at Bill and grinned. "Time to earn our keep, matey. Let's go make this party our treasure!"
