Molly leaned against the chain-link fence, her eyes scanning the street beyond the park gates. The sound of children's laughter and the squeals of delight from the bouncy castle wafted through the air, sorely testing her resolve. Bill, dressed in a bright red Santa hat and a shaggy white beard, joined her, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Are you sure about this, Molly? It's a children's party for Pete's sake. What kind of presents do you think we'll find in there?" He gestured to the party in progress. “I've got a hunch, Bill. Word has it that Mr. Johnson's daughter, little Lucy, is having a birthday and her parents spoiled her rotten. I heard the gift table is filled with iPhones, tablets, and high-end sticky-gooey-everything kids could ever desire." Molly's eyes sparkled with excitement. Bill scratched the back of his neck. “You're gonna rob a children's party, armed with nothing but a pair of tweezers and an inhaler? What if we get caught?" “Oh, I've got a plan for that, Bill. I've brought along my ever-so-discreet crawling snake, and we'll sneak in as the clown and the dog's pet." She pulled out a small squeeze toy from her pocket and winked. “Why, it's a steal, it's a heist, it's a snout-load of fun!" Bill sighed. “Alright, let's do this before someone calls the police on us. Just stick to the plan, and keep your cool." As they slipped into the party, Molly and Bill blended in seamlessly with the crowd. Bill got lost in the sea of adults, juggling balloons and serving cups of soda, while Molly 'accidentally' tripped and landed beside the gift table. As she assessed the loot, her eyes widened. “Ah, jackpot!" “Within minutes, we'll be diving into a sea of fun? And we'll be the coolest criminals on the block!" Bill whispered, as he stuffed hand-sized balloons into their bags. Just then, Lucy, the birthday girl herself, approached the table. “Hey, you're not supposed to be touching the presents!" she complained. “There, there, little one. These presents need a little bit of… rescuing." Molly produced a pair of tweezers with an innocent smile. The children's piñata dangling from an above tree, caught Lucy's eye. “Hey! How about we play a game of musical piñata? Whoever smashes it wins a prize!" she suggested. “Sounds like a splendid idea, young one." Bill didn't waste a second as he pulled out a miniature sledgehammer from his bag. The children cheered as the pair demolished the piñata, showering the area with candy and confetti while steering clear of the prying eyes of parents. Bill mimed a 'take that' gesture as they escaped unseen into the night, their bags bulging with loot. As they walked away, Molly turned to Bill. “Well, I'd say that was mission accomplished… and a whole lot of fun. Who knew robbing a children's party could be such an uproarious good time?" “You know the saying, Molly. You gotta dress for the job you want, not the job you have.
