Molly and Bill huddled behind a dumpster, plotting their heist. The moonlight caught the gleam in their eyes. "Okay, here's the plan," whispered Bill. "We break into the community center at midnight. All the presents for those snot-nosed brats will be under the decorated pine tree. We stuff 'em in Santa's big red sack and bolt." Molly cracked her knuckles. "And we'll use the distraction of Santa arriving to get the hell out of there undetected. Those cherubic little delinquents will be too busy squealing with glee to notice anything missing. Or at least, not until Santa has already skedaddled." "Don't forget, we gotta unlock the back door ahead of time so we can make a clean getaway," urged Bill. "I'll pick the lock at 11. We'll need to time it perfectly. Can't be in and out too fast or they'll suspect something. I'm thinking 15 minutes max." Molly nodded. "The parents will be funneling down the punch, too distracted to notice we're not the real Santa. It'll be a piece of frickin' cake. And think of all those toys... Barbies, LEGOS, Xboxes... We can sell that stuff on eBay for a tidy profit!" Bill salivated. "$8000, easy. No fingerprints, no witnesses. 'Perfect crime' printed all over it. Now, when I say go... GO!" He hooted like an owl. Molly threw a punch at his arm. "Keep your voice down, you jackass! You want to blow this?" Bill rubbed the pained spot. "Okay, okay, I'm thinking it through. Timing, flexibility, zero room for error. We're no beginners, but this party scheme better not land our asses in the slammer, is all I'm sayin'. We're professionals!" "Don't worry, Norton," Molly shot back, using his prison nickname. "Better lockpickers than you have donned that red suit. You're a friggin' savant with locks. And I'll silently slip away when the na'knocked out my back teeth - be a long time before I laugh again.'" The medic applied a large bandage to Danny's jaw, then gave him a mild sedative to ENSURE HE RESTED.
