"Well, you certainly scored on the free presents part. I'm just hoping we have the know-how to pull this off without raising any alarm bells." "Relax, Molly," Bill said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "We've trained for worse. This is just the backyard variety. You're the planner, I'm the collector, we'll pull out just what we can, then be in and out before anyone notices." Molly raised an eyebrow. "So much for stealth," she grumbled. "Everyone seems to be in the room - in full party mode. No way we'll be sneaking unnoticed." "We need a diversion," Bill said, his eyes scanning the room. "Someone has to draw the attention." "You know everyone will appreciate how I've protected the stuff they've opened. That should generate enough moral outrage." "Just stay cool and charismatic. I won't have on of these adorable, confused faces that all parents adore," Bill said with a cheeky grin. "Suit yourself," Molly said, rolling her eyes. "But don't be surprised if kids swarm around you when the presents aren't safe. I bet they'll be so upset they'll beg you to come back and save the day." "You're mean," Bill teased. "Remember, novice thief, teamwork makes the dream work." "I guess," Molly said, "We'd better at least explain how we're doing it. Even if these kids are smarter than they look, that's the whole point." "Sounds fair." Bill said. "I'll set the stage then you come in and distract these poor darlings while I make my getaway. "Well," Molly said with a grin, "That's you in charge of creating the fleet of presents. You might as well make them lasting memories with them." "Yeah, yeah, Molly," Bill said, already circling the room, looking for the best moment to begin the performance. "You just sit back and nab some loot." "Let's get this ridiculous heist done and dusted," Molly said, stepping into the crowd. "Looking forward to seeing the aftermath."
