Molly and Bill stood at the entrance of the brightly decorated room, marveling at the stacks of brightly wrapped presents, wondering how on earth they'd pull off the heist without getting caught by the vigilant party guards. "I'm feeling like a kindergartner myself, ready for a giant tuckshop," Bill said, his voice slightly higher as he broke the serious mood. Molly chuckled but her serious facade was still intact. "You must sound like a boy mumbling to himself in the shower," she joked, trying to keep her nerves at bay. They swapped a glance, then, in perfect unison, the pair of them took a breath and all pretense of being normal attendees vanished. With small, practiced movements, they swayed to the childish music, dodging parents seeking their child's hand. Whispers of "Excuse me" filled the air as the heist commenced. Inside seconds, Molly and Bill had removed almost a third of the loot, stacked on the ground by their feet, before expertly scattering the distraction bag's contents to ensure no one caught on. It was impressive teamwork; stealing, maintaining a steadfast front, and ensuring a quick exit without spilling their troll while still managing to keep the party vibe alive. In the blink of an eye, they vanished back through the entrance, their mission complete but with a pang of nostalgia. They had once been children in this very atmosphere, living for the excitement and joy of it all. Now, in their own way, they were still looking for that rush of adrenaline, but hopefully, without making any kids cry. Just as they exited the building, both Molly and Bill turned to each other, weary grins plastered on their faces, ready to split the spoils of their adventure and meet up the next day for a celebratory meal – albeit not at a kiddie party, this time.
