Molly plopped down on the lumpy sofa, legs sprawled, the worn fabric groaning under her. Bill, pacing like a tiger deciding on its lunch, tossed a small notebook onto the coffee table cluttered with maps and blueprints. "We're breaking into a children's party," he announced, eyes gleaming like a conspiracy theorist. "Say what now?" Molly raised an eyebrow, a piece of pizza dangling from her fingertips. "Children's party. Jackpot of loot in the form of presents. We're talking action figures, video games, you name it." Bill tapped the notebook impatiently. "The source is solid." "Bill, stealing from kids? That's a new low, even for us," Molly replied, her voice laden with skepticism. Bill waved a dismissive hand. "Oh, come on, Molly! It's not like we're stealing bread from the mouths of babes. We're merely borrowing their loot, temporarily." "They'll notice, Bill. And, a rather large, irascible 'they' at that," she retorted, taking a bite of her pizza. "That's why we've gotta be slick. In and out before anyone even knows we were there. And remember, it's for the greater good. We can donate the loot to, I don't know, a children's hospital or something," Bill reasoned, his eyes still fixed on the notebook as if it held the secrets of the universe. "Sure, because robbing a kid's party to fund a children's hospital is a perfect plan. A beacon of morality," Molly retorted, her tone drenched in sarcasm. "It's not every day we get a chance at an easy score, and a kid-free zone ain't gonna come our way again," Bill countered, his enthusiasm not dimming. Molly sighed. "Alright, let's hear the plan, then. Though, I got bad vibes written all over this like graffiti on a rundown playground." Bill smirked, pulling out a crinkled map. "First, we're going as party entertainers. I'm the clown, you're the magician. We blend in, we charm, then we rob." "A whole new level of deception. I'm impressed, and slightly disturbed," Molly admitted with a reluctant grin. "You're welcome. Now, let's review our roles. Remember, the kids are our biggest threat. We've got to keep them under control, and occupied," Bill instructed, unfolding the map like he was unveiling the secrets of the Da Vinci Code. "Are you sure you don't want to switch roles? I could totally pull off the clown thing," Molly suggested, snickering. Bill rolled his eyes. "Look, I've got the face paint, you've got the disappearing tricks. Stick to the plan, will you?" "Aww, someone's already lost their sense of humor on this mission. I can't wait till we're in the thick of it," Molly teased, but her eyes were already scanning the map, half amused, half intrigued. "Just make sure those tricks are top-notch. We don't want to be the failed entertainers and failed robbers. I've got my reputation to uphold," Bill chided, his face serious but his eyes revealing the fun he knew they were about to have. Molly smirked. "Don't worry, Bill. When the dust settles, all the little tykes will remember is the best party they've ever been to. And we'll have started an underground charity for kids. Win-win, as far as I'm concerned."
