Molly and Bill sat across from each other in a dark and dingy corner booth at the local dive bar, their eyes locked on a children's party they planned to crash later that night. It wasn't the first time they'd pulled off a heist, but it was the first time they'd targeted such innocent victims. "So, we're really doing this?" Molly asked, her finger tapping nervously against the rim of her beer glass. "Of course, we are," Bill replied with a grin. "Think about all those expensive toys we're about to score. It doesn't get much better than that." Molly paused for a moment, contemplating the potential downsides of their plan. "What about the parents? They're going to be pissed when they find out their kids' presents are missing." "Let them come after us," Bill said, shrugging nonchalantly. "We'll be long gone by then." "But what if the police show up?" Molly persisted. "We'll have nowhere to hide with all those witnesses." "Relax," Bill said, waving his hand dismissively. "We've got this covered. Remember, we're the ones who found out about the party. No one suspects a thing." Despite her reservations, Molly couldn't help but feel a thrill at the thought of pulling off the perfect heist. "Alright then," she said with a sigh. "When do you want to make our move?" "Sooner the better," Bill replied. "Let's hit it as soon as the last parent leaves." They finished their drinks and left the bar, their minds already racing with the details of their plan. As they walked towards the park where the party was being held, Molly couldn't stop the butterflies from dancing in her stomach. This was going to be the most daring—and potentially the most lucrative—heist of their careers. They arrived at the park just as the last parent was loading their child into the car. The party had ended, and the parents were leaving, oblivious to the two thieves lurking in the shadows. Bill checked his watch before nodding at Molly. It was time to strike. They waited a few moments before darting out from behind a tree, their hands full of black sacks they'd stolen earlier that day from a nearby department store. They moved quickly and quietly, making their way towards the brightly-decorated bouncy castle that stood in the center of the park. Without hesitation, they began emptying the sacks, stuffing expensive toys and game consoles into their bags. Just as they were about to call it a night, they heard sirens in the distance. Their hearts stopped for a moment before they realized it was just a passing ambulance. They exchanged relieved glances before continuing to work. Finally, when they were sure they'd taken everything of value, they made their escape, disappearing into the night like ghosts. They couldn't wait to count their loot and plan their next heist. And, for the first time in their lives as career criminals, they were okay with stealing from kids. After all, it's not like they'd miss a few toys, right?
