"All right, Molly, let's go over the plan one more time," Bill whispered, adjusting his fake mustache in the rearview mirror. "We've been over it a thousand times already," Molly groaned, rolling her eyes. "I'm the clown, you're the magician. We sneak into the party, grab the loot, and make a break for it." "Precisely," Bill nodded, his voice taking on a theatrical flair. "But we mustn't forget the finer details. What's your clown name again?" "Giggles the Goofy Gal," Molly deadpanned, shooting him a glare. "And I shall be known as the Mystifying Merlin!" Bill proclaimed, waving an imaginary wand. "Just don't overdo it," Molly warned. "We're here to swipe the goods, not put on a show." "Speaking of which," Bill said, reaching into the glove compartment, "here's your oversized nose and frizzy wig." Molly grimaced as she slipped them on, her face disappearing behind a cloud of orange curls. "How do I look?" "Like a certified nightmare," Bill chuckled, earning himself a playful punch in the arm. They pulled up to the venue, a lavish estate with a sprawling garden where the party was being held. Children's laughter and music drifted through the air, mingling with the sweet scent of freshly mowed grass. "Showtime," Molly grinned, grabbing her comically large shoes. Bill adjusted his cape and top hat, striking a pose. "Let the magic begin!" They weaved through the crowd, Bill dazzling the kids with card tricks while Molly entertained them with silly dances and pratfalls. All the while, their eyes scanned the area, zeroing in on the towering pile of presents. "Looks like the birthday boy hit the jackpot," Molly murmured under her breath as she shuffled past the mound of brightly wrapped gifts. "Indeed," Bill whispered back, his mouth barely moving. "But how do we make off with the haul?" Molly's gaze landed on a large, empty box sitting nearby. A wicked grin spread across her face. "I've got an idea." With a flurry of movement, they scooped the presents into the box, Bill distracting the adults with a series of increasingly elaborate illusions. "And for my next trick," he boomed, sweat beading on his brow, "I'll make this entire box of gifts disappear!" Molly lifted the box with a grunt, staggering under its weight. "You'd better hurry up and work your magic, Merlin." Bill whipped off his cape with a flourish, tossing it over the box just as Molly stumbled towards the exit. The crowd gasped, then erupted into applause as the "disappearing" act unfolded before their eyes. "Thank you, thank you!" Bill called out, bowing deeply. "You've been a wonderful audience!" He turned on his heel and bolted after Molly, who was already halfway to their getaway car, the box cradled in her arms. "Start the engine!" she panted, tossing the box into the backseat. "We've got to make like a banana and split!" Bill peeled out of the driveway, tires squealing, as Molly collapsed in the passenger seat, wheezing with laughter. "Did you see their faces?" she gasped, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Priceless!" Bill joined in her mirth, his boisterous guffaws filling the car. "Who would have thought a children's party could be such a heist?"
