Molly and Bill crouched behind a bush adorned with balloons and streamers. The backyard of the Johnsons' suburban home was scattered with brightly-colored presents, each one a potential goldmine for their latest harebrained scheme. "Molly, are you sure about this? It's a kids' party," Bill whispered, his eyes barely above the bush line. "Oh, lighten up, Bill. We're not hurting anyone. We're just relocating their joy for a bit," Molly replied, adjusting the oversized clown shoes she'd chosen to blend in. "Relocating their joy? That's a new one. Ever thought of relocating your moral compass?" Bill muttered, tugging at his ill-fitting superhero costume. "By the way, why do I have to be Super Squirrel?" "Because I said so. And besides, you look adorable," Molly said with a smirk, peeking through the foliage. "Look, there's the cake. We wait until they're distracted by sugar and then we swoop in." Bill sighed. "Swooping in isn't exactly my strong suit, Molly. Can't we just sneak?" "It's a metaphor, Bill. Keep up," she replied, rolling her eyes. "Remember, act natural. Blend with the chaos. These kids are like tiny, sugar-fueled tornadoes." Bill scratched his head under the itchy squirrel mask. "Wait, what's our exit strategy? We can't just waltz out with an armful of presents." "That's where Plan B comes in." Molly grinned, producing a massive, inflatable unicorn. "We'll escape on this." Bill stared, slack-jawed. "You're kidding, right?" "Nope. It’s foolproof. Who's going to stop two costumed party entertainers floating away on a unicorn?" "Anyone with eyes?" Bill ventured, looking dubious. "Seriously, Molly. This is nuts, even for you." Molly nudged him. "You got a better idea? Exactly. Now, follow my lead. Just walk like you’ve got nothing to hide." They emerged from the bush, shuffling into the crowd of pint-sized party guests. "Hey kids, who wants a balloon animal?" Molly shouted, waving her arms dramatically. Bill winced but dutifully held up a handful of pre-twisted balloon swords. "Yay, balloon swords!" he said, his voice dripping with false enthusiasm. A hyperactive boy grabbed a sword and immediately began whacking his friends. Molly seized the moment, sidling towards the gift table. "Bill, distraction level ten," she hissed out of the corner of her mouth. "Uh, alright. Who wants to see Super Squirrel do a dance?" Bill announced, starting a ridiculous, awkward jig. The kids roared with laughter, and Molly swiftly grabbed a stack of brightly-wrapped presents. She shoved them into a large sack hidden in her clown pants. "Molly, we're running out of time. The sugar high won't last forever," Bill called, still dancing frantically. "Relax, we're almost there," Molly replied, hoisting the sack over her shoulder. "Meet me by the unicorn.” Bill stumbled through the throng of children, finally reaching the inflating unicorn. "This better work, Molly." "It will. Now help me get this thing airborne," she commanded, attaching a portable helium tank to the unicorn. As they inflated the unicorn, the backyard chaos reached its peak with kids running and laughing. "Three, two, one... lift-off!" Molly shouted. The unicorn began to rise, them clinging to its straps. "Hold on tight, Bill!" "Next time, can we pick a target that doesn't require animal costumes?" Bill grumbled, adjusting his grip. "Only if you'd prefer robbing a zoo," Molly retorted, snickering. As they floated away, presents securely in tow, they waved down at the clueless party below. "See? Easy as pie," Molly said cheerfully. Bill rolled his eyes. "Yeah, sure. Pie." They drifted higher, with Bill shaking his head and Molly grinning ear to ear, knowing they'd pulled off another ridiculous, successful heist.
