Molly and Bill stood in the shadows cast by a tall fence, the sweet sounds of children's laughter and party tunes floating over to them. The air was thick with the scent of candyfloss and a colorful bounce house loomed large before them. "This is it, Bill. Our big score." Molly's eyes sparkled with mischief as she surveyed the scene. "All those presents, just waiting for us to snatch 'em." "Yeah, but are you sure this is the right move, Molls? I mean, it's a kids' party. Seems a bit... unfair, don't ya think?" Bill scratched his scruffy beard, a hint of hesitation in his voice. "Unfair? Bill, we're thieves! We don't do fair. We do profitable." Molly shot him a sideways grin. "Besides, whose fault is it that we owe Big Tony some serious cash? Remember that 'can't-miss' horse racing tip you got from your cousin? We need to pay him back pronto, or we'll be sleeping with the fishes." Bill's shoulders slumped a little. "Yeah, you're right. I still feel kinda bad about takin' from kids, though." "Don't be a softie, Bill! Look, those brats have more toys than they could play with in a lifetime. A few missing presents won't hurt 'em. Now c'mon, let's scope out the joint." They crept along the perimeter of the party, keeping a keen eye out for any potential obstacles or hazards. Molly, ever the tactical thinker, noted the placement of adults, knowing they'd be the real threat to their operation. "See that table over there? That's where they've stashed the presents. We'll make a beeline for it once the coast is clear." Molly whispered, her finger tracing a path in the air. "What about the parents? There's a bunch of 'em standin' right there, chattin' away." "Easy, we time our move for when they're distracted. Luckily for us, they've got a magic show about to start. Once that's underway, we strike." Molly's confidence was contagious, and Bill found himself nodding along. They waited, biding their time as the magician, a lanky teenager with a top hat, began his act. The children, enraptured, crowded around him, blocking the parents' view momentarily. "Now!" Molly hissed, and they scurried out of the shadows. Using the bounce house as cover, they dashed towards the present table. "Grab as many as you can and meet me by the fence!" Molly ordered, her arms laden with gifts as she darted towards their escape route. Bill, lagged behind a bit, hefted a large bag of presents over his shoulder and made a mad dash for the fence, whooping with exhilaration.
