“Okay, so picture this,” Molly said, laying out a map of the back garden on the table. “We’ve got the bounce house, the pony rides, the petting zoo. All distractions, all prime targets.” Bill snorted, his eyes glued to the map. “Pony rides? You think we’re going to be riding ponies, Molly?” “No, you dolt,” Molly said, rolling her eyes. “They’re a distraction. You know, like a giant, fluffy, smelly, horse-shaped distraction? Think about it.” “And there's the petting zoo? What, are we going to steal a goat? Or maybe a miniature piglet? How exactly do we explain to the cops that we're holding a piglet hostage, Molly?” “It’s not about the animals, Bill! It’s about the kids. They'll be so busy petting the goats, they won't even notice us sneaking into the party.” Bill ran a hand through his greasy hair. “Are we really talking about using children as our cover for this heist?” “It’s a classic move, Bill. It’s called ‘The Tiny Terrorist Gambit.’ We’ve got the distraction, the chaos, the adorable factor. What could possibly go wrong?” “Oh, I don’t know, maybe a kid could get hurt in the crossfire? Or a parent might mistake you for a crazed clown and call the cops? Or, the worst possibility of all, a unicorn on roller skates might show up and ruin everything.” Molly grinned, her eyes twinkling. “Bill, my friend, you’re thinking too big. We’re not after the unicorns. We’re after the gifts. And trust me, those little darlings are gonna be loaded with loot.” “But how do we get in? They’re going to have party guards, right?” “Relax, Bill. We’ve got this. You’ve got the disguises, right? Clowns? Ninjas? The choice is yours.” “I was thinking more like a pair of inflatable dinosaurs,” Bill said, gesturing to the map. “They’re easy to fit into and they blend in well at a kid’s party.” Molly stared at him for a moment, then burst out laughing. “You are a genius, Bill! Inflatable dinosaurs it is! But no talking. We don’t want them thinking we’re really dinosaurs. And no trying to eat the cake. That’s just rude.” “What’s the plan then?” Bill asked, his voice brimming with nervous enthusiasm. “As soon as the ‘Birthday Boy’ gets his cake, we go in. We’ve got five minutes before the kids start opening presents and the chaos ensues. Five minutes, Bill. Five minutes to make a fortune.” Bill swallowed hard, his eyes widening. “And how exactly do we plan to get out with all those presents? Do we need a getaway car? Or maybe a rocket pack? Or, you know, one of those giant bouncy houses? Maybe we could just fly away with the presents? ” Molly shook her head, her grin turning mischievous. “Don’t worry, Bill. We’ve got a plan for that. A plan that involves a bouncy house, a large number of helium balloons, and the most chaotic escape anyone has ever seen.” Bill stared at her, a mixture of amusement and terror on his face. “This is going to be amazing.”
