"Molly, this is the most ridiculous plan you've ever had," Bill whispered, crouched behind a shrub with a party hat sloppily perched on his head. "Shh! It's perfect. Kids' parties have the worst security," Molly hissed back, her eyes darting around the yard filled with laughing children and oblivious parents. "We're stealing gifts from kids, Molly. That's a new low, even for us," Bill protested, fidgeting with the ludicrously large sunglasses that were part of their disguise. "Think of it as redistributing joy, Bill. Besides, these kids have too much stuff. They won't even miss it," Molly said with a sly grin, adjusting her bright, floral sundress. "Redistributing joy? More like earning a one-way ticket to the bad Santa list," Bill grumbled, watching a clown make balloon animals near the gift table. Molly rolled her eyes. "Oh, come on. It's not like we're stealing their childhood memories. We're just... borrowing their presents permanently." "Borrowing? You mean like the time we 'borrowed' that art piece and ended up in the dumpster after triggering the alarm?" "Exactly! And we learned from that. This time, we're in and out like a magician's trick," Molly said, her confidence unwavering. Bill sighed, "I just hope there's no actual magician here. Last time, we got stuck in a box while 'escaping.' " "Trust me, the only thing we need to worry about is which one of us gets to carry the loot bag," Molly declared, elbowing him playfully. "Fine, but if we get caught, I'm blaming the clown," Bill said, scanning the area once more before they made their move. Molly chuckled, "Deal. But only if I can't charm our way out of it with my incredible balloon-animal-making skills." "You know how to make balloon animals?" "No, but how hard can it be? Just twist and hope for the best, right?" "I'm going to regret this, aren't I?" "Probably, but at least we'll have a story to tell," Molly said, winking at Bill as they crept closer to the mountain of presents.
