Molly poured herself a cup of lukewarm coffee, taking a sip as she sprawled out on the motel bed. Bill, her partner in crime, sat at the small desk, surrounded by maps and blueprints. "Okay, so here's the layout," Bill said, not looking up. "The party's at three o'clock, at the Jumping Jellybean Playland. We've got a two-hour window before the cops show up." Molly raised an eyebrow. "The cops?" "Oh, yeah. The birthday kid's dad is a detective. He's got the whole place staked out for his little princess's special day." Molly snorted. "Aww, how sweet. And we're gonna make it a very unhappy birthday." Bill chuckled. "Hey, someone's gotta teach her about the harsh realities of life. Now, we need to get into character." Molly tossed him a mischievous grin. "I've got my outfit right here." She rummaged through her duffel bag, producing a bright pink wig and a glittery tiara. "Voila!" Bill's eyes widened. "You're gonna wear that?" Molly pouted. "Hey, it's festive. And it'll distract the adults while you slip in and out with the loot." Bill shook his head, but a small smile played on his lips. "You're something else, Molly. Alright, I'll grab the gift-shaped flash bag and meet you at the entrance." Molly stood, wobbling in her high heels. "Ooh, can I be the one to make the diversion?" "Please do," Bill said, rolling his eyes. "Just try not to get too carried away." Molly batted her false eyelashes. "Who, me?" The two of them made their way to the Jumping Jellybean Playland, Molly tottering along in her ridiculous getup. Bill looked like a put-upon dad, lugging a large bag and wearing a 'World's Okayest Uncle' t-shirt. As they approached the entrance, Molly spotted a harried-looking woman trying to herd a group of sugar-high kids. "Ooh, target acquired!" Molly strode up to the woman, dramatically clutching her tiara. "Oh no, dear party mom! I think I just saw a balloon animal escape into the bounce house! We must act fast to save the children!" The woman's eyes darted around, distracted, as Bill slipped past her and into the party area. Molly continued to wail, causing a scene, as Bill snuck from table to table, stuffing gifts into his bag. "Ma'am, I think the clown is supposed to be making the balloon animals," one of the employees tried to intervene. Molly gasped, still playing the part. "The clown? Oh, he's the one who let the balloon animal escape! We can't trust him! Someone fetch the birthday girl's father, the detective!" As the commotion reached its peak, Bill emerged from the fray, the flash bag bulging with loot. Molly grabbed his arm, and they made a quick exit, disappearing into the sea of screaming children and bewildered adults. As they made their getaway, Molly turned to Bill, grinning. "You know, for a couple of thieves, we make a pretty good team." Bill chuckled, shaking his head. "You're something else, Molly." They sped away in their stolen getaway car, the sound of sirens fading into the distance. Molly tossed the pink wig onto the backseat, running a hand through her own tangled hair. "You know, we should do this more often." Bill raised an eyebrow. "You want to steal presents from children again?" Molly winked. "Well, when you put it that way, no. But we should definitely do more heists in ridiculous costumes."
