Molly leaned against the counter of their cluttered hideout, a sly grin spreading across her face. "Alright, Bill, let's talk strategy. How are we getting into this children's party without raising eyebrows?" Bill glanced up from the map he was poring over. "Simple. We blend in. Ever heard of face paint and balloon animals?" "Face paint?" Molly raised an eyebrow. "You think we can pull off looking like clowns?" "Exactly," Bill nodded, twirling a pencil between his fingers. "We walk right in like we're part of the entertainment. What's the theme again?" "Superheroes and princesses, I think," Molly replied, pulling a flyer from her pocket. "You know what this means, right?" Bill's eyes lit up. "Costumes. Of course. I'll be Batman, and you can be... Princess Elsa?" Molly punched him playfully on the shoulder. "I'm not being Elsa. I'll be Wonder Woman." "Alright, Wonder Woman," Bill said, smirking. "We'll need a distraction. Got any ideas?" Molly tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Well, kids love magic shows, right? How about a disappearing act? We can use it to sneak away with the presents." Bill scratched his head. "We'd need some basic gear for that. Smoke bombs, maybe. Do you think they've got a magician already booked?" "Doesn't matter," Molly waved her hand dismissively. "We'll be the main attraction. Now, about these presents. When do we make our move?" "During the cake cutting," Bill answered. "Everyone's attention will be on the cake. We'll have a few minutes to grab the goods. How many presents are we talking about here?" "At least twenty," Molly said, glancing at the list she'd complied. "And some of those kids are from rich families. This could be quite the haul." Bill leaned back, grinning. "This is going to be the easiest job we've ever done." Molly chuckled. "Don't jinx it. We still need to figure out our exit strategy." "Right, right," Bill said, waving his pencil like a conductor's baton. "After we've stuffed the sacks with presents, we head out the back door. We'll stash everything in the van and be gone before anyone notices." "Sounds foolproof," Molly agreed, nodding. "But what if someone catches on? You know how nosy kids can be." Bill's smirk grew wider. "Simple. We hand them a balloon animal and tell them it's part of the act. They'll be too distracted to think twice." Molly laughed. "You've got an answer for everything, don't you?" "That's why they call me the mastermind," Bill said with a wink. "Now, let's talk cover stories. Who do we tell the parents we are?" "We're with the entertainment company," Molly said, snapping her fingers. "We'll make up some cards and fake badges. Easy enough." "Perfect," Bill said, finally sitting up straight. "One last thing. If anyone asks who hired us, what do we say?" "We say it was a last-minute substitute," Molly replied. "Blame it on a scheduling error. They'll buy it. Kids' parties are always chaotic." "Alright then, partner," Bill said, clapping his hands together. "We've got ourselves a plan. Let's make sure everything's ready for tomorrow." "Tomorrow it is," Molly said, grinning. "Let's steal some presents and make these kids cry." Bill rolled his eyes. "Let's hope they don't cry too much. We can't have everyone in tears, or we might get caught." Molly laughed again. "True enough. Let's be quick and ghost out. See you in the morning, Batman." "Good night, Wonder Woman," Bill said, returning to his map. "Tomorrow's going to be legendary."
