Molly leaned back in her chair, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. "So, Bill, you ever thought about hitting a children's birthday party?" Bill raised an eyebrow, his skepticism clear. "A children's party? Are you serious? What are we gonna do, steal the piñata?" Molly chuckled, shaking her head. "No, no, no. Think bigger. All those presents, Bill. Wrapped, untouched, just waiting for us." Bill scratched his head, considering the idea. "Alright, I'll bite. How do we even get in? We can't just waltz in there with a 'Happy Birthday' balloon and expect to blend in." "Simple," Molly replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "We dress up. You be the clown, I'll be the magician. We're there to entertain, but our real show is the haul we're gonna take." Bill snorted, trying to imagine himself in clown makeup. "A clown, huh? Great. Just what I always wanted to be. And you think the parents won't notice two random performers showing up out of the blue?" Molly waved off his concern. "We'll do our homework. Find out who usually performs at these things, maybe even 'borrow' some business cards from them. We'll be the surprise entertainment that the parents 'forgot' to mention." Bill nodded slowly, warming to the idea. "Okay, let's say we get in. How do we manage to swipe all those gifts without the kids or their parents noticing?" Molly leaned in, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "We create a distraction. You know, the classic 'clown getting chased by a fake snake' routine. While everyone's distracted, we make a beeline for the presents. We've got duffel bags, right?" Bill smirked, already picturing the chaos. "Yeah, got a couple in the trunk. But what about the getaway? We can't exactly speed off in a clown car." Molly tapped her chin thoughtfully. "We stash the bags in the bushes outside. Once the coast is clear, we make our move. Quick, quiet, and clean. No one's the wiser." Bill laughed, shaking his head in disbelief. "Only you, Molly. Only you could come up with a plan to rob a bunch of kids blind at a birthday party." Molly winked at him. "What can I say? I'm a giver. I give them a show, and they give us the goods. It's a win-win." Bill stood up, stretching his arms. "Alright, I'm in. But if I end up with a face full of cake or something, I'm blaming you." Molly stood as well, clapping him on the back. "Deal. And hey, if things go south, at least we'll have a good story to tell. 'Remember that time we tried to steal from a bunch of five-year-olds?'" Bill chuckled, shaking his head. "Yeah, that'll be a classic. Alright, let's get to planning. We've got a party to crash and presents to steal." Molly grabbed a notepad and pen, her mind racing with ideas. "First things first, we need to find a party. Big guest list, lots of presents. And Bill?" "Yeah?" "Let's make sure we get the good clown makeup. No one wants to look like a reject from a horror film." Bill laughed, the sound filling the room as they began to plot their unconventional heist.
