Bill leaned in close to Molly's ear, the sound of Christmas carols filling their dimly-lit hideout, "Do you remember the first time we told each other about our grand heists?" he asked, his eyes gleaming with memories of excitement. "Those were the days," Molly chuckled softly. "But I remember you mentioned, quite cheekily, something about targeting a children's party." Bill smirked, "The precious presents, Molly, we couldn't resist. However, we must return someday, and this time our bag should be all candy, not chaos." Molly laughed, "Right, no sticky hands and 'who let the dog out' adlibs. It's amateurish if done poorly." They sketched their plan on a worn-out napkin, marked the party venue with pin-like images, and assigned roles. "I'll be the burst balloon, just a scary look to remember us." Bill’s grin was wide. Molly shook her head, "No. I will be the snow angel, subtle and near-undetectable." As they packed their bags, they rehearsed their entrance - their trivial disguises, a painted mask and a wig that wouldn't trigger suspicion. "First task: ice cream truck tune disguise, maybe some friend with kids could help," suggested Bill, rolling the paper. "Followed by the balloon draw, if needed. Then, like soft flakes of snow, we glide into their world," Molly described their movements – smooth like a Wilhelm Scream. "The presents," Bill mused, eyes on the mock party setup on their tabletop. "A high-stakes poker game with twelve-year-olds and their prize.” Laughter tinged his voice, imagining the surprised faces. "The juggling act, lad, with every gift you catch. We'll live out our childhood fantasies, just without the screaming curds," Molly added, her heart a mix of mischief and purpose. "The pull-along toy, I still love that one," Bill admitted, his laughs echoing softly. “But it's all for the girlfriend, isn't it? Those shiny baubles will shine even brighter under our Christmas tree." Molly placed the napkins down, glanced at them, "Right you are. And every child's wish will also be our satisfied whim.” As she stood up, the image of giggling faces at the party ran through her mind, their innocence fuelling their momentary larceny. "What if the kids start playing 'look-see'? We should too," Bill said, his gaze full of jovial mischief as they finalized the last of their disguises. Molly grinned, placing the paper over their meticulous notes, "Then let them play. We'll be listening, observing." In the quiet of their hideout, planning turned the thrill of heist into a child's dance they dared each other to pull off.
