Molly and Bill stood in the shadows, watching as children ran amok at the party. Balloons and streamers decorated the room, and a mountain of brightly wrapped presents sat enticingly in the corner. "This is the easiest job ever, Bill. All we gotta do is swipe those gifts when no one's lookin'. Piece of cake." Molly rubbed her hands together eagerly. "Yeah, but what about the kids? There's, like, a hundred of 'em. They'll see us for sure." Bill's voice held a note of concern. "Simmer down, Bill. I've got a plan. We wait till they're all distracted, then we make our move. With any luck, they'll be too busy screaming and eating cake to notice a thing." Molly grinned, her eyes glinting mischievously. "And if they catch us?" Bill asked, his voice laced with doubt. "Then we run like hell and hope those little tykes can't keep up. Come on, let's get in position." Molly chuckled, her eyes never leaving the pile of presents. They slinked around the perimeter of the room, staying close to the walls. As the children's attention turned to the birthday boy about to blow out his candles, Molly and Bill made a beeline for the presents. With swift efficiency, they grabbed armfuls of gifts and darted back into the shadows, vanishing before any tears could be shed. "That was too easy," Molly whispered, a triumphant smile spreading across her face.
