Molly tossed the binoculars onto the dashboard of their getaway van, a rickety old thing with a faded "Mama's Meatballs" logo on the side. "Alright, Bill, I've got the layout. The party's at the community center, same one we cased last week. Looks like they've got about twenty rug rats running around in there." Bill rubbed his hands together, a wicked glint in his eye. "Oh, this is going to be a score for the ages. I mean, who doesn't want a bunch of sugared-up kiddos crying themselves to sleep because they lost their new toys?" Molly chuckled, shaking her head. "You're a regular humanitarian, Bill. Okay, so here's the plan: we go in during the cake and ice cream portion of the party, when the parents are distracted by sugar-fueled tantrums and the kids are stuffing their faces. We make a sweep of the gift table, grab as much loot as we can, and make a quick exit." "Sounds like a solid plan," Bill said, "but what about the entertainment? I heard they've got a clown." Molly snorted. "Oh, don't worry about Binky the Clown. I've got a special surprise for him too." Bill raised an eyebrow. "What kind of surprise?" "Let's just say I've got a few squirts of my famous 'laughing gas' –" "Ah, the kind that makes people giggle uncontrollably and forget how to do basic math?" Molly grinned. "That's the stuff. I'll make sure Binky's too busy honking his horn and chasing his own tail to notice us swiping the presents." Bill whistled. "You're a genius, Molly. What about the parents, though? We can't just waltz in there without drawing attention to ourselves." Molly rummaged through a nearby box of costumes, producing a bright pink wig, a mustard-yellow jumpsuit, and a "Party Pal" name tag. "Ta-da! Meet 'Polly the Party Mom' and her trusty sidekick, 'Barry the Brave Birthday Butler'." Bill donned the getup, striking a pose. "I feel like a million bucks in this ridiculous outfit." Molly tousled his wig, adjusting the name tag. "You look like a hundred bucks, maybe. Alright, let's get in there and start 'helping' with the celebration.
