Molly frowned at the map she'd scribbled on the back of a pizza flyer. "Bill, we need a better plan than 'Let's just take the presents.'" Bill, with his hair as wild as a startled hayfield, peered over her shoulder. "What's wrong with that plan?" She smacked his arm. "It's too straightforward. What if the kids notice?" Bill chuckled. "We're dressed as clowns, remember? Just blame it on our act." Molly rolled her eyes. "Like last time?" "Okay, that was a one-off," Bill admitted, adjusting his oversized polka-dot bow tie. "We'll be stealthy clowns this time, I promise." "How exactly?" "We'll say we're magicians," Bill said, snapping his fingers. "Vanishing presents!" "You're supposed to make things reappear, Bill. Not keep them." "Details, Molly, details. We'll figure it out once we're in." Molly sighed, knowing Bill's improvisations were often part of their charm and sometimes, their success.
