"So, we're agreed then," said Molly, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "We're going to pull off the greatest gift grab in history, right under the noses of a bunch of sugar-high kids." Bill, his lanky frame draped casually over a rickety chair, grinned broadly. "You betcha, partner. Those brats won't know what hit 'em. We'll be in and out before they've even finished their cake." "And the cake, we take that too." Molly's eyebrows danced with devilish intent. "No detail can be overlooked, no crumb left behind. It's our insurance policy; we leave no evidence." "Right you are, boss." Bill pushed himself upright, his enthusiasm making him seem almost elastic. "So, what's the plan? Those little ankle-biters won't keep quiet for long, and we've got to strike while the cryin's good." "Glad you asked, Billy Boy." Molly leaned forward, her elbows resting on her knees. "First, we need to scope out the location. Get a feel for the place, the layout, the number of kiddos, and, most importantly, the presents. We can't very well steal 'em if we don't know where they're stashed, now can we?" "Scope, we can do." Bill rubbed his palms together eagerly. "Then what? We gotta make our move fast, right? In and out like a... a..." "Like a flicker of candlelight in the darkness." Molly's tone turned poetic, her eyes glazing over as if envisioning the heist of the century. "Yeah, sure, like that." Bill rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "So, we scope, we sneak, we snag, and we scram. Piece of cake, or should I say, piece of candy from a baby." Molly chuckled. "Not quite, my friend. We need a distraction. Something big, something loud, that'll draw all their attention away from us. Ideas?" Bill's face scrunched up in thought. "Noise. We need a big noise. Like a... like a..." He snapped his fingers excitedly. "Firecrackers! We set off a string of firecrackers on one side of the party, and while they're all gawking, we swoop in and grab the goods." "Excellent!" Molly clapped her hands, her eyes alight with admiration for her partner in crime. "And, of course, we'll need costumes. Disguises to blend in with the little tykes. Maybe some face paint, colorful wigs, the works. We can't very well look like a couple of grown adults, now can we?" "Disguises, check." Bill nodded vigorously, counting off on his fingers. "We've got scope, distraction, disguises... Oh, and bags! We need bags to carry all the swag." "Swag bags." Molly smirked. "I like the sound of that. This is going to be the easiest job ever.
