Molly leaned back in her chair, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "I've always wondered what's behind those closed doors of a children's party." Bill scratched his head. "You mean like the clown storage area or the parents' secret stash of booze?" Molly rolled her eyes. "No, I mean the actual presents. I bet they're piled so high under that fake tree that Santa would be proud." Bill smirked. "You're probably right. So what are we waiting for? Let's steal all the presents!" Molly grinned. "That's more like it. But we can't just barge in there, we need a plan." Bill leaned forward, his elbows on his knees. "We'll dress up as clowns, of course! Nobody will suspect us with all those cute little faces around." Molly nodded. "Good one, Bill. But how are we going to get in? It's not like we can just ring the doorbell and say 'hi, we're here to steal the presents'." Bill tapped his finger against his chin. "We'll need some distractions. Tell you what, I'll make a bunch of balloon animals while you scope out the place." Molly laughed. "You're a natural born criminal, Bill. Alright, you start making the balloons and I'll go in there and see what's up." Bill pulled a suitcase filled with balloons out of a corner. "Just remember to act natural, Molly. Nobody can suspect a thing." Molly slipped into the party, her heart pounding with excitement. The room was filled with children, laughing and playing, and in the corner stood Bill, busy making balloon animals for them. Molly made her way towards the gift table, her eyes fixed on the towering pile of presents. Just as she reached the table, a little girl tugged on her skirt. "Excuse me, miss clown," she said in a squeaky voice, "can you make me a red balloon animal?" Molly forced a smile. "Of course, dear. Just wait here while I grab someice from the refreshment table." She dashed off towards the refreshment table, pulling a small bag from her pocket. Once there, she quickly filled the bag with candy canes and made her way back to the little girl. "Here you are," she said, handing over the red balloon animal. "And here's a candy cane from the refreshment table. It's not as good as the real thing, but it will have to do." The little girl squealed with delight, hugging the balloon animal and the candy cane to her chest. Molly smiled and made her way back to the gift table, her bag now noticeably heavier. As she reached the towering pile of presents, she felt a pang of guilt. These were children's presents, after all. But then she thought of their original plan and pushed those feelings aside. Besides, it was just one little party, right? With that thought in mind, Molly slipped the presents into her bag, one by one, trying her best to be quiet. Just as she was about to leave, she heard the sound of approaching footsteps. Her heart stopped for a moment before she remembered Bill was out there, distracting the kids. Sure enough, Bill strolled into the room, still wearing his clown nose and wig. "Look, kids!" he declared, holding up a sparkly blue balloon snake. "Who wants to see my new trick?" The children cheered, hurrying over to him. Molly breathed a sigh of relief and quickly made her way out of the room, bag full of stolen presents bouncing against her legs. As she rejoined Bill in the hallway, she grinned. "That was easier than I thought," she said, clapping him on the back. Bill smiled back. "I told you, nobody suspects a clown."
