Molly sipped her coffee, her eyes scanning the miniature golf course where the birthday boy and his friends were running wild. "Alright, Bill, I think we've got our in." Bill, sporting a bright yellow shirt with a garish parrot on it, nodded enthusiastically. "I love it. Nothing says 'stealthy thief' like a putt-putt course on a Sunday afternoon." Molly chuckled. "Hey, it's the perfect cover. No one suspects a thing when you're surrounded by screaming kids and mediocre golf." "Okay, so what's the plan?" Bill asked, eyes darting towards the party area where a giant, inflatable castle shaped like a pirate ship bobbed gently in the breeze. "We pose as the entertainment," Molly said, producing a bright pink wig and a 'Clowning Around' name tag from her bag. "I'll distract the kids with some seriously subpar balloon animal skills, while you slip into the party area and start swiping gifts." Bill snorted. "Subpar balloon animal skills? You're being generous. Your balloon animals always look like they've been sat on by an elephant." Molly playfully rolled her eyes. "Hey, my giraffes are lovely. And the kids will be too busy laughing at my awful jokes to notice you making off with the loot." "Fair point," Bill said, snagging a party hat from the gift table and plunking it onto his head. "What's the haul looking like?" Molly consulted her notes. "Looks like we've got a good mix of toys, electronics, and... wait for it... a HyperLoop playset. Those things are going for a small fortune on the black market." Bill whistled. "We're going to clean up. Okay, what's the signal to get out of there?" Molly grinned mischievously. "When I 'accidentally' make a balloon animal that looks like a dead snake, that's your cue to grab and go. We'll meet back at the van and divvy up the spoils." Bill nodded, adjusting his shirt. "You know, we really need to start taking on more high-stakes jobs. Stealing presents from a kids' party is cute, but it's not exactly going to fund our early retirement." Molly winked. "Hey, it's all about the art of the heist, my friend. Besides, we're not just stealing presents – we're stealing the magic of childhood. That's priceless." Bill groaned. "You've been spending too much time with the coffee shop's inspirational quote board, haven't you?" Molly chuckled. "Maybe a little. Okay, showtime! Time to put on a face that says 'I'm a functioning member of society'." With a shared grin, the unlikely duo slid into their respective roles – Molly as 'Clowny the Clown' and Bill as her trusty sidekick, 'Party Pete' – and set off to pilfer their way into the hearts of the partygoers.
