Molly and Bill sat across from each other in the dimly lit café, their clandestine meeting spot in the heart of the city. The air was thick with the aroma of burnt coffee and the faint scent of stale cigarette smoke. "Well, what's the plan then, Bill?" Molly asked, her voice tinged with excitement. "We're not going to just rock up to a children's party and start swiping presents, are we?" Bill held up a hand, his fingers drumming against the table. "Patience, Molly. First, recall the layout of the party. It's going to be at the community center on the outskirts of town. There's a big room for the kids, the cakes are on a table near the entrance, and the presents are stacked under the tree towards the back. The parents are all going to be clustered around the games and craft table. We slip in, grab the loot, and slip out." Molly's eyes widened. "You really think it's going to be that easy?" Bill grinned. "Well, we can't have any complications, can we?" "So how do we get past the bouncers?" She glanced around, noting the older woman manning the door. She looked vaguely suspicious but not particularly intimidating. "We don't. We'll come in as the entertainment." Bill rummaged through his bag and produced a jester's outfit, complete with a floppy hat and bells stitched onto the sleeves. He tossed it across the table to Molly who caught it with a raised eyebrow. "A clown car, next," she deadpanned. "Trust me, it's a golden ticket. The kids will be entranced. Parents won't dare question a clown and a magician going in. As for the loot, we've got five minutes max to grab it before everyone disperses for cake. Simple as pie." Molly sighed, shaking her head. "You're insane, you know that? But I'll fall for it. Okay, so what's the exit strategy?" "We blend in. Slip out with the crowd after the cake." "What if we run into the birthday boy or girl? We don't want to traumatize a kid, Bill." "No chance of that. We'll have face paint." Bill produced a series of colorful wands and outlined the plan. "White face paint for me, red for you. Paint our lips blue. It's the Grand Finale of disguise. The Sharky lookalikes." Molly couldn't help but chuckle. "Alright, alright. When do we strike?" "Tomorrow at three. Be ready. Same outfit." Bill handed Molly a small package. "For the kids. Nothing says 'clown' like a bag of party poppers and mini whoopee cushions." As Molly accepted the package, her grin widened. "This is going to be a blast." Bill raised an eyebrow. "A blast? More like a kid's birthday party nightmare." With a shared laugh, they parted ways, leaving the café to plan and prepare for the heist of the century: Operation Silent Scream.
